A Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) and former Texas Capitol staffer, Stewart has been with Kaufman EDC since October 2021. He previously served in economic development roles for two high growth North Texas cities and was named a national "Top 40 Under 40" economic developer. He served on the Executive Committee of the Texas Economic Development Council, co-chairing the Legislative Committee and was instrumental in the passage of the Jobs, Energy, Technology and Innovation Act in 2023. Governor Greg Abbott appointed Stewart in 2024 to the State’s Advisory Council on Cultural Affairs. A fifth-generation native Texan, Stewart is active in a variety of civic, business and nonprofit organizations in the community and region. He is passionate about promoting Texas as the best location for business and positively impacting lives.


Emily Golden serves as the Marketing and Community Relations professional for the Kaufman Economic Development Corporation. As a former high school CTE teacher, Emily brings an educator's perspective to workforce development, economic growth, and community engagement. As a small business owner, she has a practical understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing entrepreneurs. She is passionate about Kaufman's story and supporting local businesses. Emily lives with her family, is deeply involved in the community, and is dedicated to helping the city thrive through collaboration, creativity, and genuine connection.
