The Kaufman Commerce Park provides up to 145 acres of industrial-zoned property owned by the Kaufman Economic Development Corporation. Site features include frontage along US Highway 175 and location within a federal Opportunity Zone tract. The Kaufman EDC developed the Prairie Creek Crossing Business Park as a Class “A” heavy commercial/light industrial business park. Located at the northeast corner of US Highway 175 and State Highway 34 with great visibility and access, the site features shovel-ready sites from 1.5-20 acres. Current uses in the park include offices with zoning to also allow industrial and flex commercial uses. The park is anchored by KLLM Transport Services’ dispatch and general counsel office. Anchored by Walmart and Lowe’s Home Improvement, Kings Fort is the retail hub for Kaufman and south-central Kaufman County. Additional junior anchor space is available adjacent to Lowe’s along with pad sites and shop space. A Hampton Inn is slated to break ground mid-2026 along with over 400 new multifamily units. Site has excellent visibility from US Highway 175 and State Highway 34. Traffic counts along US Highway 175 number over 21,000 VPD. Located on the south side of Kaufman, the Washington & Houston Streets intersection is an emerging retail corridor, located between the Kings Fort Development and Kaufman High School. Three corners of this intersection are currently available for a total of approximately 28 acres of retail/commercial land suitable for restaurants, retail, office and professional services.

Five Points: A 100+ acre mixed-use development by Cope Equities, Five Points provides approximately 15 acres of retail/commercial land on the intersection’s southwest corner adjacent to new and planned housing (multifamily, single family, townhomes). Cici’s Pizza recently opened a new restaurant on this site with additional shop space coming soon.


Center Point: Provides up to 7.8 acres of zoned retail/commercial land directly across from Kaufman High School. This site is owned by Soulman’s BBQ, a popular regional restaurant concept in the Dallas area. Former TXDOT Site: Located across from Brookshire’s Grocery Store on the northern end of the intersection, the City of Kaufman owns a former TXDOT site of 5.75 acres. The City plans to work with a developer to redevelop this site into new retail/commercial uses with an emphasis on sit down and fast casual dining concepts, office and related uses. Site provides excellent dual access and visibility from both Washington and Houston Streets.
